   Widespread but not common, from N. Colombia south throughout the Amazon Basin to S Brazil. These species and its sisters ( E glaucolaus, E protesilaus, E leucosilaus ) are exceedingly difficult to distinguish, and many specimens even in museums, are misidentified. I am not even 100% sure of the ones I have shown. Three Subspecies:
