Probably no more than a ssp of T. haliphron, found in the Lesser Sunda islands of Indonesia. Not at all rare. Several subspecies from surrounding islands are variously attributed to staudingeri or to haliphron:
heptanonius - Damar
ikarus - Tanimber, Selaru
iris - Moa, Leti
staudingeri - Babar, Luang, Sermatta
ariadne - Romang
