   Generally common from West Africa (Sierra Leone) east through the Congo and Cameroon, to W Uganda in lowland forests. The most widespread of the confusing "zenobia complex" which includes Papilio mechowi, mechowianus, fernandus, filaprae, andronicus, cypraeofila, and gallienus.
