Formerly known only from Mt Gede and Mt Mas in W Java, Indonesia, it has apparently not been seen in recent years and is may be extinct (?). This is very unfortunate if true, as it had occured with some abundance in Mt Gede National Park which apparently offered it little protection. Please email us if you know anything about the current status of this insect.
