    Wide range, but rare , local and poorly known. Ssp. interruptus found throughout the western Amazon is very easily confused with P torquatus (also shown). Note differences in tail shape. The nominate race is known from the eastern slopes of the Andes in Bolivia , and ssp. lecerfi from the Guianas and the NE Amazon.
