Chilasa laglaizei (Depuiset, 1877)

  Rather local but not rare. Confined to the island of New Guinea. The larvae are considered a delicacy by some native tribes. This species is involved in a mimicry ring with a day flying moth. I am not sure which is model and which is the mimic. When I can locate a good photo I will post the moth here as well...
