Bhutantis thaidina (Blanchard, 1871)

    Restricted distribution in SW China (though wider ranging than B. mansfieldi),  extremely local where found. Reportedly may be locally common in the proper environment and during its limited flight season. A high altitude species, it is found in rugged plateaus over 2000 meters. It is protected not only by CITES but by the relative inaccessability of its habitat. (CITES schedule II)
