    Confined to the heavily populated island of Sri Lanka, jophon is probably in danger of extinction if current trends continue. Flies in Rain forest remnants on the SW of the island. 50 years ago it was found throughout the island. Above is the larger and lighter colored female. Protected by the local government, but habitat destruction continues unabated...
